Voices of Tufts Diversity Experience in Engineering - Student Application 2017

Thank you for your interest in Tufts University! The Voices of Tufts Diversity Experience in Engineering will take place Thursday, October 19 - Friday, October 20, 2017.

Voices provides a broad and immersive introduction to student life at Tufts University. There is no cost to participate. If you need financial assistance to visit campus, there is a place to indicate that information on the bottom of this application. A complete Voices application consists of your contact information, 100-word essay, high school transcript, and one letter of recommendation from your school counselor or college counselor. Incomplete applications will not be considered, so please be sure to submit all materials prior to the deadline.

If you are interested in studying within the liberal arts and sciences, please apply to the Voices of Tufts Diversity Experience in Arts and Sciences instead. While both overnight programs provide a general introduction to the Tufts student experience, the Engineering Experience will focus on the academic offerings within the School of Engineering at Tufts.

To complete your portion of the Voices application, you will need the following information:
    • The name, email and telephone number of your school guidance/college counselor
    • Your current cell phone number
    • Your current email address (we do a lot of communication via email, so make sure it’s an address you check often)
    • Your SAT or ACT scores, if available
If you will be requesting financial assistance for transportation to campus, you will also need:
    • Your name exactly as it appears on the ID with which you will travel
    • Your date of birth
    • The name of the airport or train station closest to your home (please note that students who live in New York City will be provided with chartered bus service or Amtrak tickets from New York’s Penn Station)

Finally, you will write a short essay of 100 words or less about why you would like to attend the Voices of Tufts Diversity Experience. We suggest you take some time now to think about your response before submitting the application.

Complete applications, including transcript and recommendation, are due by 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. Late applications will not be considered due to the high volume of applications we receive by the deadline. Students will be notified of their invitation status on a rolling basis and in most cases by no later than Tuesday, October 10, 2017. Please submit your Voices application as early as possible - try not to wait until the deadline. If you have questions about the program, please contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at 617-627-3170 and ask to speak with the Voices Officer of the Day.

On behalf of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, thank you again for your interest in attending Tufts University. We look forward to receiving your application.
    Sincerely,
    The Voices Planning Team
