Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 8:00 PM until 9:00 PMEastern Daylight Time UTC -04:00

“Human Factors Engineering” and “Human Factors Psychology” are two interdisciplinary majors offered at Tufts. In fact, Tufts is home to the country’s oldest (and some say most distinguished!) Human Factors program. In this short lecture, you will learn what “human factors” is all about. Join Professor James Intrilligator to learn a brief history of the discipline, discover some of the methods used, hear about cutting-edge research at Tufts, and even do a bit of designing yourself. Come see how “Human Factors Engineering” and “Human Factors Psychology” are designing, creating, and changing the world we live in.
