Tufts on the Road
Tufts on Tour are regional, in-person information sessions hosted by the Tufts Undergraduate Admissions Office throughout the fall. These sessions will offer opportunities to learn about Tufts, ask questions, and meet an admissions officer. The presentation will cover Tufts' academic offerings across its three undergraduate schools (School of Arts & Sciences, School of Engineering, and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts), campus culture, financial aid, and its holistic approach to admissions.
National Portfolio Days provide an opportunity for you to meet with representatives from top colleges and universities and receive valuable feedback and guidance on your portfolio before you submit it as part of your application. When you visit SMFA’s booth, you’ll leave with portfolio feedback and an idea of how you and your art practice will fit into our unique program.
Parents, teachers, and guidance counselors of high school and college transfer students are also encouraged to attend this event to ask questions and learn more about pathways available to your students. This is an educational event; no admissions decisions or scholarship awards will be offered.
Due to the high attendance at National Portfolio Day events, portfolio reviews typically last about 15 minutes. To make the most of your time with admissions representatives, we recommend preparing a portfolio of 10-20 pieces that includes the work you’ve made in the last 2 years that you are most excited to share – no restrictions on medium or subject matter. You may bring original work or digital documentation on your own device.
