Visit a Class at Tufts

    Fall:
Class visits are available to our student visitors on a walk-in basis during the Fall and Spring semesters. You do not need to register ahead of time for a class visit. Browse through the course listings here to get an idea of what your day as a Tufts student could be like.

Please Read Through These Guidelines as You Plan Your Class Visit:

    • It is required that you visit the Dowling Desk (7th floor) to check in for a class visit. There you can be in touch with our student representative who will check you in for your class visit. Remember that class visits are only for prospective students. Sorry parents and family members, but faculty have requested that these classes be limited to prospective students only.
    • The classes offered below have been approved by the professors to welcome guests. Any other classes offered are unavailable to visit.
    • We ask that you not e-mail a professor in advance of your visit unless the professor requests it. Please arrive to the class 10 minutes before the scheduled class time to introduce yourself to the professor.
    • If there is a blackout date on the day you will be visiting campus, we will not be able to accommodate visitors to classes.
    • Please plan to spend the entire class period. Seating is limited so class visits are for students only. Classes will be open to visitors between October 1st to December 9th
    • Certain classes will also have days that are not appropriate for visitors (exam days, for example), so please check that individual course listing to make sure the class is open on the day of your visit. Classes may be moved or cancelled without notice. If possible, it is a good idea to have a second class picked out just in case.
    • There will be NO CLASSES on Indigenous People's Day (October 14th), Veterans Day (November 11th), or Thanksgiving (November 27th – 29th).
    • Tuesday, October 15th will operate on a Monday schedule.
